The Challenge
In the digital age, the Gelben Seiten, once a trailblazer in the realm of paper-based business directories, faces the significant challenge of digital adaptation. The goal is to expand its audience reach via the website. At SÖTHER, a boutique agency with focus on branding and UX/UI design, my focus has been on enhancing the online user experience of the Yellow Pages, aiming for increased user-friendliness. Central to this endeavor is the development of an intuitive design and efficient navigation, aligning with the demands of modern internet users.
Process
In collaboration with the team, we embarked on a comprehensive analysis of the Gelbe Seiten's online presence. Our methodical approach encompassed a thorough review of each page, from the homepage to the last subpage. This process led to substantial revisions in both the design and structure of the pages, implemented progressively. Our targeted and systematic strategy has been instrumental in significantly enhancing the overall user experience.
Solution
The results of our efforts are a source of pride. A prime example is the transformation of the home page. Prior to our redesign, users frequently struggled with navigation. The revamped home page now facilitates a quick and intuitive search for service providers, while offering a broad overview of the Gelbe Seiten's extensive service range. These enhancements have been pivotal in creating a more efficient and user-friendly interface.
Outcome
In a relatively short period, we have realized substantial improvements. The User Experience has been improved in a lasting way, leading to higher engagement and satisfaction.
